I believe that art should be created only with the human mind and that AI generated writing or images are not art. I do not use any generative AI in my writing, nor do I rely on AI to critique my work or give me ideas. Like most authors, I use spell check and grammar software, but any changes are considered and made (or rejected) by me. I do not allow programs to "rewrite" my sentences. I believe in these programs as common tools which help alert me to potential spelling, punctuation, and grammatical issues in my writing, but that I only improve my grammar through vetting these suggestions and fixing mistakes myself.

I do not consent to my work being fed into AI programs of any kind. AI models train themselves on stolen work, which takes from the human minds who have created art.
